Session #4 – Dolce. Food and the Cinematic Imagination
Satisfy your sweet tooth as you view and discuss one of the films selected for this year’s Denver Film Festival’s Showcase on Italian Cinema, Ride/Laughing (2018), by the actor/director Valerio Mastandrea, a film that speaks to the eyes and the heart of the spectator in which the protagonist is absorbed with the kitchen.
Discussion led by Roberta K. Waldbaum, Ph.D
Professor Waldbaum teaches Italian language, literature, culture and film in the Department of Languages & Literatures at the University of Denver where she holds the Anna Maglione-Sie Endowed Professorship in Italian Culture.
