Hollywood has been shaping society’s perceptions of women for more than a century. And by “Hollywood,” we mean men. Women’s underrepresentation behind the scenes and misrepresentation on the screen are a feature, not a bug, of the motion-picture industry.

In the midst of the #MeToo movement, this rallying cry of a documentary takes an urgent look at women’s roles in the entertainment biz. With executive producer Geena Davis, director Tom Donahue (Casting By, DFF35) brings together some of today’s greatest talents—including Meryl Streep, Natalie Portman, Rashida Jones, Sandra Oh, Tiffany Haddish, Jessica Chastain, Cate Blanchett, and Reese Witherspoon—to discuss not only their personal experiences with gender discrimination but their proposed solutions to an age-old crisis that might, at long last, be getting the serious attention it deserves.

Director Tom Donahue will be in attendance for the Tues. Nov. 6th and Wed. Nov. 7th screenings.
