Women in Film & Media Colorado (WIFMCO) In Partnership with Colorado Film & Video Association(CFVA) & Denver Film Society(DFS)
“It’s About Time,” a 3-Part Panel on Sexual Harassment in the Film Industry.
In response the outcry against sexual harassment and gender imparities in our industry, both in Hollywood and Colorado, Women in Film & Media Colorado presents a 3-part look at how these issues affect women in the workplace and beyond – and how to make effective changes.
Part I will view Sexual Harassment from the Legal perspective – what is harassment, what is actionable, and how to engage the legal system in defense of victims;
Part II will feature political scientists and trauma psychologists who will “break down” power balances and the effects of trauma;
Part III will provide empowerment tools and techniques to manage discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
All are welcome. This is a FREE Colorado Film Industry Event.
Part I: The Legal Issues Surrounding Sexual Harassment
Beginning with the legal definition of what sexual harassment is, local lawyers, human resource administers, and government officials will explain the laws and what breaks them, plus a comprehensive look at how to make the law work for you if you’ve been victimized.
