Overview

Childhood friends Lily and Amanda reconnect in suburban Connecticut after years of growing apart. Lily has grown into a polished, upper-class teenager with a fancy boarding school on her transcript and a coveted internship on her resume; Amanda has developed a sharp wit and plenty of attitude in the course of becoming a social outcast.

Though they seem completely at odds, the pair bond over Lily's contempt for her oppressive stepfather, Mark. As their friendship blossoms, it brings out their most destructive tendencies—and they find themselves hiring a local hustler, Tim, in order to take the matter of setting their lives straight into their own hands.

Olivia Cooke, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) and Anton Yelchin (in his last role before his untimely death) co-star in this blackly comic thriller from first-time feature filmmaker Cory Finley, which Indiewire calls “American Psycho meets Heathers as directed by a young and extremely class-conscious Park Chan-wook.”

The DFF Reel Social Club Night kicks off at the Sie FilmCenter with the screening of Thoroughbreds. The evening continues with the RSC Party at The Living Room: join Nigel Penhale from Denver's Pillowtalk and special guest The Postman as they deliver hip-hop, pop drops, deep cuts and dance floor magic. Dance first. Pillowtalk later. The After Party is a 21+ Event, ID Required
