Childhood friends Lily and Amanda reconnect in suburban Connecticut after years of growing apart. Lily has grown into a polished, upper-class teenager with a fancy boarding school on her transcript and a coveted internship on her resume; Amanda has developed a sharp wit and plenty of attitude in the course of becoming a social outcast.
Though they seem completely at odds, the pair bond over Lily's contempt for her oppressive stepfather, Mark. As their friendship blossoms, it brings out their most destructive tendencies—and they find themselves hiring a local hustler, Tim, in order to take the matter of setting their lives straight into their own hands.
Olivia Cooke, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) and Anton Yelchin (in his last role before his untimely death) co-star in this blackly comic thriller from first-time feature filmmaker Cory Finley, which Indiewire calls “American Psycho meets Heathers as directed by a young and extremely class-conscious Park Chan-wook.”
