Overview

Nick and Jeremiah, who may or may not be brothers, travel by car through a wooded American landscape. The older one, Nick, seems to have odd powers; he claims that the mind can control matter and promptly makes a coffee cup disappear. Younger Jeremiah, meanwhile, seems disturbed, haunted by memories of nameless violence. Where are they going and what are they leaving behind? Are they on the run?

In this artfully murky, surreal coming-of-age drama, filmmakers Christopher Radcliff and Lauren Wolkstein create a profound sense of dislocation in the viewer that’s dispelled ever-so-gradually, and even then only partially, with the emergence of the truth.
