Overview

This intimate portrait of two Washington, DC, chefs struggling with their staffs to open and run their first restaurants follows their sagas from construction through their early years in business. Against all odds, one becomes famous, winning Bon Appetit's Best New Restaurant in America award and a James Beard Foundation award for Best Chef Mid-Atlantic. The other is forced to redefine success as his wife quits her high-paying job to work at the restaurant full-time.

Director-producer Dustin Harrison-Atlas's documentary about one of the world's toughest businesses stars Aaron Silverman of Rose's Luxury and Frank Linn of Frankly...Pizza!, with appearances by legendary chefs and restaurateurs like Danny Meyer, Mike Isabella and Michel Richard as well as The Washington Post's Tim Carman.
