Overview

Small in scope but with a very big heart, this unlikely and unhurried Colombian comedy of errors from first-time feature writer-director Samir Oliveros is a crowd-pleaser set against the music-filled Caribbean backdrop of Port Paradise.

When Corn and his older sister Rita accidentally run over a goat and wreck the family truck, they face the grim prospects of bad juju as well as parental wrath. So the bickering siblings set off on an attempt to barter and bluff their way out of trouble, coming into contact along the way with the ramshackle island's colorful cast of characters—among them a witch doctor, a pawnbroker, a gangster and Rastafarian percussionists who provide the soundtrack to their quest.

Producer: Andrés Gómez D. | Editor: Sebastian Hernandez | Cinematographer: David Curto | Screenwriter: Samir Oliveros
