Overview

Meet 28-year-old Aiman, a diligent correctional officer who is transferred to a maximum-security Singaporean prison. At his new post, he meets Rahim, the charismatic 65-year-old chief executioner, who has been at his job for 40 years. In Rahim he sees a father figure; in Aiman, Rahim sees an heir to his thankless job, and begins to train his determined pupil. Things take a turn, however, when Aiman’s own family history, tainted by crime, is revealed.

Boo Junfeng’s deliberately paced psychological drama explores the moral dilemmas at stake when a damaged young man confronts his skeletons head on.
