Overview

After abruptly quitting a temp job and stealing the company vehicle, sensitive yet aimless Ana drives back to her native Strasbourg to stay with her grandmother, who promptly falls ill and winds up in the hospital. Ana begins to remodel the apartment bathroom, a task she has no clue how to start or finish, while reconnecting with her ex and other acquaintances—all along the way toward finding love and purpose in her life.

First-time feature director Rachel Lang builds on the simple plot with quirky humor and dream scenes highlighted by stark cinematography, yielding a drama that’s at once slice-of-life and belated coming-of-age.
